Q.
Does it matter whether I work
out at home or in the gym?
A. This depends on your fitness
goals. If you plan on competing
in any type of sport then we
strongly suggest the gym. For
the average person just trying
to lose weight and tone up in
home training is perfect.

Q.
I’ve been working out for a
while and have stopped losing
weight. How can I break out of
my weight loss plateau?
A. Plateaus occur when you've
been doing the same routine for
a prolonged duration and your
body adapts to that routine. In
order to overcome this plateau
you’ll need to manipulate your
work out or change your program
all together. For your safety it
would be wise to hire a
professional to start you on a
program.

Q.
Can I get a six-pack from doing
crunches?
A. Doing crunches alone
will not reduce body fat. In
order to get a six-pack you need
to reduce the body fat that is
covering the abdominal muscles.
In general, to lose fat, you
need to burn more calories than
you consume. This can be done by
having a healthy low-calorie
diet and cardiovascular
exercise. Strength training
will also increase your lean
body tissue, raise your
metabolism and help you burn
more calories.

Q.
Do
I need a personal trainer in
order to work out?
A.
This is like asking a mechanic
if he needs a wrench to work on
cars. There might be other tools
that do the job but the wrench
is the most effective. Working
out with a trainer is the
fastest, safest way to see
results. A good trainer will
devise the most effective
exercise plan to help you meet
your goals, make sure you are
doing each exercise correctly,
and make sure you are getting
the most benefit out of your
workouts.

Q.
How do I know which exercises to
do for a specific muscle or
muscle group?
A. If you’re asking this
question then you need some sort
of advice from a fitness
professional. Working out is a
science and for your sake don’t
try to "figure it out".

Q.
How do you get rid of my “love
handles”?
A. Technically the sole act of
exercising doesn't get rid of
“love handles”. Exercising
builds up the muscle underneath
the fat, which makes it the fat
look firm and not loose.
A good way to lose weight off your love handles is by dieting (and by
dieting we mean good, clean,
healthy eating). Try cutting
down on fatty foods and eating
healthier. Exercise will then
help more because there won't be
as many carbohydrates and
protein calories to burn off, so
the fat calories will be burnt
off.

Q.
How do you get rid of my lower
stomach fat?
A. Spot reduction is a myth. You
will not be able to target lower
stomach fat (or fat anywhere)
with specific exercises. If you
have fat on your stomach, the
only way to lose it and expose
the abdominal muscles underneath
is to lose weight. The best
exercises to burn calories are
aerobic, cardiovascular, and
weight training. In addition to
exercise, to lose weight you
will need to have some sort of
knowledge base about nutrition
or hire a professional.

Q.
Will an exercise bike or cycle
machine reduce the fat on the
back of my arms?
A. Cardio will help get fat off
the arms however taking fat of
the arms will still leave you
with extra skin that will still
look like fat resides there.
Depending on how much extra skin
you have you may be able to
tighten it up by lifting some
weights to build up your biceps,
triceps and shoulder area. Doing
this will tone things up! Don’t
be afraid of weights. Some women
are scared of looking like a
man, you just don’t have the
testosterone and that’s the
bottom line. If it was possible
and building that kind of muscle
was that easy and quick every
one would look awesome.

Q.
Should women train with light
weights so they won't bulk up?
A. Many women feel the way to a
great body is to lift very light
weights that does not put strain
on their muscles. The fact is,
the only way to achieve muscle
tone is to train to muscular
failure. If you want to tone up,
not bulk up, you have to utilize
high repetition sets. By
performing reps from 15 to 20
per set, you target the
endurance muscle fibers and tend
to get a leaner, harder body
without adding much muscular
mass. However, the weight used
must be heavy enough so the last
few repetitions are very
difficult to complete. If the
weight is too light, you will
not tax the muscle sufficiently
to adequately stimulate results.

Q.
Why should I hire a personal
trainer?
A. There are countless benefits
to hiring a personal trainer.
Like anything else, if you want
the best results you seek an
expert. If you’re selling your
home you would want the best
realtor you can find, right? You
have probably already spent tons
of money on bogus exercise
equipment, gym memberships, and
weight loss products. Don't
waste anymore of your precious
time or money and let us show
you how you to get in shape
faster than you thought
possible!
